Bass Lake and the surrounding communities of Oakhurst, Coarsegold, Mariposa and North Fork offer visitors an abundance of beautiful scenery and year-round activities for the entire family. Enjoy fresh mountain air, clear blue skies by day and star filled
skies by night. Our area offers four distinct seasons! Seasons consist of bright sunny summer days, rich autumn colors, soft and silent winter snow and vibrant spring blossoms. We are nestled among the Ponderosa Pines, Oak and Cedar trees.
Bass Lake is located near the southern boundary of Yosemite National Park, approximately 3,500 feet in elevation. Bass Lake is the warmest high sierra lake in central California. Summer water temperatures range between 72 and 80 degrees. These warm temperatures
provide ideal conditions for jet skiing, swimming, water skiing, pleasure boating and fishing.
There are 29 different species of fish in Bass Lake! Bring your rod and reel, kick back, relax and try your luck! Fish during the Annual Bass Lake Fishing Derby for a chance to win the $10,000.00 prize!

There are many year round activities for outdoor enthusiasts. Ride your mountain bike, hike the trails, "go climb a rock" to quote the Yosemite Mountaineering School. Ride a horse, enjoy local swimming pools or hit the tennis courts. There are three golf
courses in our area. The "Historic Wawona" golf course just inside Yosemite National Park is gorgeous!
Many people love to visit Bass Lake during the winter season. Snuggle up by the fire with a good book or a glass of wine, tour the high country by snowmobile, or take a day trip to Yosemite to experience world-class skiing at Badger Pass. Badger Pass, California's
oldest ski resort and the only ski resort in a national park, offers nordic (cross country) skiing, snow play areas, alpine (downhill) skiing and guided snowshoe walks.
Experience a day trip to Yosemite Valley to view some of the wonders of the world! Spring is the ideal time to view the magnificent water falls. Yosemite Falls is the highest water fall in the world! Spectacular El Capitan is the largest piece of exposed
